Healthy Forest Partnership
The Healthy Forest Partnership (HFP) arose as a means of researching an early intervention strategy- proposed by researchers from the Canadian Forest Service and the University of New Brunswick-to control spruce budworm populations.
The HFP was formed to harness the collaborative power of an Atlantic-wide partnership between researchers, industry, government and the public to address the impacts of a spruce budworm infestation.
The Canadian Institute of Forestry (CIF)
The Canadian Institute of Forestry / Institut forestier du Canada (CIF-IFC) is a not-for-profit, member-based organization. Founded in 1908, the CIF-IFC is the oldest forest society in Canada, serving as the voice of forest practitioners representing foresters, forest technologists and technicians, ecologists, biologists, educators and many others with an interest in forests and forestry.
The CCLM Knowledge Portal currently consists of one main portal divided into three subportals: 1) Boreal Caribou, 2) Wetland Knowledge and 3) Land Management. The main portal, accessed via the CCLM home page, showcases material specific to the CCLM and shares highlights from each the subportals. You can search the entire site from the main portal or navigate to one of the subportals for resources and materials specific to that area. Additional filters are available to further narrow your search.
The site provides a diverse range of content, including academic journal articles, projects, reports, fact sheets, newsletters, videos, an interactive map and more.

The Envirothon® is an environmental and natural resource conservation problem-solving, teambuilding and leadership experience and competition for high school students (grades 9-12 or ages 14-19) across the United States, Canada, and China. Atlantic Teachers' Tour - Forests Worth Knowing
The Atlantic Teachers' Tour has become recognized as one of the best professional development programs in the region. Tours have been held in all three Maritime Provinces, exposing participants to the extent, vitality, and importance of the region's forests and the people, industries, and communities who depend upon them. It is a collaborative effort among the forest product companies, academic organizations, governments, land owners, conservation groups and many, many others, as year after year, they come together to contribute their time, knowledge, and passion in the development of one truly awesome program.
